This year, Music & Resilience took part in the MUSA & Resilience 2026 project, a training exchange that brought a group of Palestinian students from Lebanon to Italy. The project, which arose from a specific request by the young participants and volunteers, aims to deliver a non-formal education programme involving young musicians from Palestinian refugee camps as peer educators, to develop, alongside their Italian peers, specific skills based on the Community Music model and psychosocial support through music, in line with what we have been doing for the past 12 years through the Music & Resilience project in Lebanon, and subsequently in Ukraine and other contexts of deprivation and social marginalisation.

Unfortunately, only two of the six people who were due to arrive in Italy from Lebanon received the necessary visa for the journey.

The project went ahead as planned, however, with a group training session from 20 July to 1 August, featuring three public concerts:

  1. Wednesday 29 July, at Prima Materia
  2. Friday 31 July, at the Circolo ARCI in Monterappoli
  3. Saturday 1 August, at InStabile – Culture in Movimento.
