From 29 March to 8 April 2026, Music & Resilience took part in Mediterranea Saving Humans’ 24th humanitarian mission to Ukraine, continuing a journey of collaboration and engagement in the region that began almost three years ago. The mission was carried out in collaboration with the City of Bologna, as part of the Altre Mete project, which involved a group of young people in an experience of active citizenship and engagement with local communities.

Over the course of the week, the M&R team organised musical activities in various reception centres in the Lviv area, involving children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. Through movement, group singing and a mix of Italian and Ukrainian songs, the music created opportunities for people to come together and build relationships.

This mission, too, has confirmed the value of continuity: returning to the same places, seeing familiar faces again, welcoming new people and continuing to build, through music, relationships that grow stronger over time.
