From 7 to 17 May 2026, Music & Resilience returned to Lampedusa as part of Sound Passage, a musical residency project coordinated by Forme and Ragazzi Baye Fall Palermo within the TACKLE programme run by Avocats Sans Frontières.

For ten days, the island hosted a programme of encounters, listening and collaborative creation, bringing together musicians and diverse groups around music as a language capable of transcending borders, histories and identities.

As part of the same project, Music & Resilience took part through Samuele Strufaldi’s participation in the artist-in-residence programme and, during the same period, through music therapists Luca Scavone and Marco Lolli, who delivered music therapy sessions at the Provincial Health Authority’s Day Centre in Lampedusa.

Lampedusa has once again proved itself to be not merely a place of transit, but a vibrant space for connection, listening and opportunity.

The project will continue over the coming months with new music therapy sessions and will be carried forward into next year with a new artist-in-residence programme, reaffirming the desire to build lasting relationships with the local area and the communities that live there.
