Marco and Luca attended the 13th European Music Therapy Conference in Hamburg (Germany), 23-27 July, whose topic this year was “bridges”:

With the motto we strive to bring contrasting viewpoints into dialogue, diverse interests into discussion and neighbouring disciplines into interaction. Therefore, we invite students, researchers and practitioners from different music therapy perspectives and from other disciplines to engage with each other in a lively and inspiring exchange.

It sounds just like a perfect match for M&R ethos, goals and practices, right? And it was. Luca and Marco had the honour of participating as speakers, sharing insights into the work of Music & Resilience in Lebanon, Ukraine and Italy, in a presentation titled Music & Resilience: Community Music Therapy as a Tool for Inclusion and Well-Being for Refugee Youth. It was a testament to a practice that, day after day, strives to build bridges through music: between people, cultures, fragilities, and possibilities.

The engagement and attention the project received during the conference were a significant sign of recognition for everyone who has brought it to life over the years, believing in it, sharing it, and supporting it.
